Template-Free Synthesis of One-Dimensional SnO2 Nanostructures Using Highly Efficient Hydrothermal Method

One-dimensional (1D) SnO2 nanostructures, as n-type semiconductors with a wide band gap, exhibit unique photoelectric properties that offer potential applications in electronic, photoelectric, gas sensing, and energy generation devices. A detailed study of template-free reaction systems is essential to regulate efficiently synthesise 1DSnO2 nanostructures. This employed the hydrothermal method prepare SnCl4·5H2O tin source. The impact various experimental conditions on morphology analysed. Here, nanostructures were characterised by analytical methods such X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning field emission double-beam microscopy. results confirmed formation mixed nanorods nanowires. exhibited length 422.87 ± 110.15 nm, width 81.4 16.75 an aspect ratio 5:1, whereas nanowires displayed 200 45.24 15 5.62 13:1. With addition 50 mg polyvinylpyrrolidone seed crystal, acquisition time decreased from 48 12 h. obtained without template, laying foundation for large-scale production application.
